The Great Smokies with my friends
This blog has been co-authored by father & daughter (Srini & Pavitra), so it projects 2 perspectives (one during the planning phase & second for the trip). 7 families (close friends from the same community): 8 couples: 11 kids from toddler to teens: 2 15-seater vans: Off we go to The Great Smokies: Nov 2019 The Planning day: Great plans are always made in a jiffy. one fine Saturday, me & my wife (Poorna) were having our coffee sitting in our balcony which was the starting place of all big trip dreams. This time it started with Las Vegas then drifted to SFO & then finally pinned to the Smokies; thanks to one of the families in our group who had already made their bookings to go there. Around 9.30 am, we called up 2 of our closest friends to come over to our place to finish the trip planning; this happens with the confidence that others who have not been involved in the planning exercise will just jump in to agree.
